Beauty and the beast

The garden at Easter rather overshadowed my simnel cake, some of whose 11 marzipan apostles were rather charred on top whilst it was neglected for too long under the grill.

Winchester, as a Guardianista I am very pleased to see you are fully embracing diversity by not rejecting those pieces of marzipan which are slightly darker than the others !

If only everyone was as accepting as those who have been 'left under the grill' for a bit longer..

Gotta go - seeing this has made me feel a bit peckish, so off to get a cuppa and a choccie chip Welsh cake..

Hmmm...save the bother with the gardening - get somebody else to do it. This place is fantastic. And it will be mine one day, when I win the lottery and become Lord Arthur of Aberglasney. Of course, being of a lefty-liberal persuasion I will still let the plebeians in at weekends...

May I be a frequent visitor, my Lord?

'Frequent visitor' ? - I shall need someone to be in charge of the 'Gardener's Tea Rooms' ! Seriously though, get to places like this quickly, before Wales turns into another Cornish style 'Grockle Central'.
