Saturday will be the first day after St Swithun's 40 days of rain curse. I suppose rain's better than drought but it really has been a depressing summer.

It's been terrible, Whisperer, though as I write this I'm sitting in the sun - an unknown sensation, being warm! Thanks for your 3 beautiful things!
And here we are all sweltering again! Even the Sicilians are complaining now.
