There are those who argue that Hamlet is Shakespeare's greatest play.
To me,it is a toss up between the Tempest, with all it's mystery and magic, and, of course, my own play, Kinglear.
That said, the words in Hamlet (you highlight some of them) are of a beauty and luminescence that transcends mere entertainment.
