Bravo Bendandi

Whilst many people were partying in Rome yesterday in defiance of Raffaele Bendandi's earthquake prediction, an earthquake, very sadly, was hitting Lorca in Spain. I know little about Raffaele Bendandi. He lived from 1873-1979 and was a keen astronomer. He believed that planetary alignments have a gravitational impact on the earth's crust and can cause earthquakes. He used his theory successfully to predict the earthquakes in Avezzano in 1915 and Le Marche in 1923. He predicted there would be an earthquake in Rome on 11 May 2011 and another in May 2012. May be an idea to avoid Lorca next May.

There are those in the hedge fund industry who believe that planetary alignments move markets. WW - perhaps you should change your name to Mystic Meg !
