Obama putts while Syria burns
Do you think Obama is following David Cameron's lead? Do you think he's nervous of going alone with the flaky French? Or do you think he wanted to make the most of his Labor Day holiday?

Glad that I wrote to Dave advising him in rather strong terms not to follow Blair into yet another morass. And this was the day before The Times did an excellent cartoon of Dave, nervously, stepping into Tony's bloody footsteps. If Saudi and Iran square up with Israel hurling thunderbolts about we could soon be apprioaching the 'end game'. Or not - that would be the Middle East.
Do you think there'll be another vote if the US goes ahead?
Another vote - I doubt it unless there is some very major further horror perpetrated by the Assad squad.
In my last I omitted Russia in the quadratic equation. Please include as another factor but which way is Putin likely to jump. Whatever I fear for, inter alia, the Christian community in Syria.
