One of my favourite cities! Loved the Miroir and the whole quayside area which has been transformed in recent years, having been awful and not very safe to walk along. Adored the multicoloured lanterns at night. Some lovely places to visit not far away on the train too, St Emilion, Bergerac, Bayonne, Arcachon... Freebie organ recitals on Tuesdays in summer on the very fine cathedral organ. One time I went to Mass and it was followed by a service of Canonisation of a local girl. Cath full of flowers and the perfume of lilies. Been to Bordeaux three times now and loved it. Liz
