Wildlife of Clapham


This photo of a back garden in Clapham was taken yesterday morning. Mrs Fox has six cubs in total.

I saw one outside Marylebone station last month. It studied the evening commuters before scurrying off down the street towards the front door of the station hotel.

One of the Portinari 'cubs', who lives nearby, lost all but one of his small hen flock (and one cheeky cock)in a recent fox raid. Hens are in extra danger at this time of year because vixens are feeding their young after weaning. So 'Cave' all hen owners.
